COMMENTS
A lodestar was one used to guide the course of a ship. The push and pull of the universe is felt as one force attracts and marshals others. This print was meant to be looked at from any angle. In Wayne’s instructions, inscribed on the back of many of her later works, “Hang in any direction”. What is up, what is down in the vastness of the universe? For Wayne, this is very much up for grabs.
