Empyreal: \em-pye-REE-ul\ • adjective. 1 : of or relating to the heavens or firmament; celestial; sublime.
This is the last of four variant editions of collaged elements mounted on a lithographic field printed on archival board. The collaged elements consist of various combinations of silver leaf and polymer on molded paper. Wayne completed five of the seven variations between 1988 and 1993. In 1993, she took part of one of these and applied it to Three Bits. The remaining two compositions are unfinished, as of 2006.
